The Alumni, Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna was inaugurated on 19.3.1989. The membership constitutes all graduates of the Faculty, all full time and part time teachers (both present and past) and well-wishers of the Faculty. It is registered as the Non Profit/Charitable organization in Sri Lanka under the companies act No.07 of 2007 since May 2004.
Dr. Mrs. Nishanthini Ramesh, one of our old students (17th batch, Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna), has left us due to an illness. She was working as a consultant physician at NIMH Mulleriyawa.
We are sharing our thoughts with his friends and family members.
Jaffna Medical Faculty Overseas Alumni (JMFOA- Canada) and JMFOA Foundation are Non-Political and Non-profit organizations formed by Doctors from the Faculty of Medicine, the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka, who live in Canada.
