An Endoscopic Live Demonstration session was held on 11.08.2023 at the Endoscopic Unit, Teaching Hospital, Jaffna. The event was collaboratively organized by the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, and SingHealth, Singapore. Dr N. Vikneshwaran, Senior Consultant, Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Singapore General Hospital, Singhealth has graced this event by generously sharing his time and expertise. Upper Gastro Intestinal Endoscopy and Colonoscopy cases were demonstrated and the findings were discussed interactively. The session provided valuable new skills and knowledge that will undoubtedly contribute to the professional growth of the participants. The collective efforts of Prof.R.Surenthirakumaran, Prof S. Rajendra, Dr. N.Vikneswaran, Dr. S.Gobishangar, Ms. Vijaya Rao, Ms. Irene Ang, the coordinators, and the participants have made this event a memorable success.

The Oesophageal cancer research team meeting was held on 11.08.2023 at Teaching Hospital, Jaffna. The Singaporean team including Dr. N.Vikneswaran, Ms. Vijaya Rao, and  Ms. Irene Ang joined the meeting in person together with the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, UOJ, and Consultants from Teaching Hospital, Jaffna. The updates on the ongoing research activities and future collaborations were discussed effectively.
