Over the decade, intake of medical students is continuously raising in trend however improving the available teaching and learning facilities do not match with the intake. In addition to the above mismatch increased academic workload, unavailability of cost effective health diet and limited facilities to overcome the loneliness make the medical students’ life more stressful. It was decided to organize a focal point to provide remedial action to reduce the medical students’ mental stress and facilitate their teaching and learning activities. The focal point was named as Student Wellbeing Centre and it was inaugurated by The Vice Chancellor, University of Jaffna, Prof.S.Srisatkunarajah on 14th March 2022
