Singhealth(Singapore Health Service), the largest group of healthcare institutions in Singapore has developed a collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Jaffna. The productive meeting between the University of Jaffna and the Singapore Health Services Pte Ltd team took place on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at the Board room of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna.

Prof. R. Surenthirakumaran-Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Prof. S. Sivayogan – Professor of Psychiatry, Dept of Psychiatry, Prof. M. G. Sathiadas- Professor of Paediatrics, Dept of Paediatrics, Dr. (Mrs.) T. S. Navaratnaraja-Senior Lecturer in Pharmacology, Department of Pharmacology, Dr.K.Niththiyanantham- Deputy Director, Teaching Hospital, Jaffna, Dr.P.A.D.Coonghe -Head, Dept. of Community and Family Medicine, Dr. S. Kumaran -Head, Dept of Forensic Medicine, Dr. K.Guruparan-Head, Dept of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and some Research Assistants attended the above meeting from the University of Jaffna.

Ms. Vijaya Rao-Senior Director (Programme  Development), Ms. Irene Ang Yue Tein -Manager(Programme  Development)International Collaboration Office, Prof David Hipgrave– specialist/expert in the field of maternal child health and childhood nutrition, Prof . N. Vikneswaran – Senior Consultant, Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Dr. Edwin Low – Programme Director, SingHealth Office of Regional Health, Ms. Deborah Chew – Senior Associate Director of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute and Ms. Shreya Agoramurthy – Research and Programme Associate, Centre for Outbreak Preparedness, Duke-NUS Medical School participated in the above meeting from Singapore. The Parties had discussions regarding potential future collaborations.
