The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, organized a workshop on “Enhancing Efficiency of Staff on Quality Assurance” on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. The event took place in the s Conference Hall of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, and was attended by Academic support staff, Management Assistants, and Technical Officers, all eager to enhance the quality assurance mechanisms within the Faculty of Medicine.
The workshop commenced with an introduction by Dr. K. Guruparan, Coordinator/IQAC and Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna. Dr. Guruparan covered the essentials of Quality Assurance. Professor (Mrs.) M. Senthilnanthanan, Director of the Centre for Quality Assurance at the University of Jaffna, delivered an outstanding presentation on “Contribution of Staff in External Quality Assurance Reviews.” Her expertise in the field provided attendees with valuable insights and strategies for maintaining high-quality standards.
The workshop concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Nadarajah Arumugathash, Deputy Registrar and Secretary of IQAC. His closing remarks expressed gratitude to all participants and speakers, highlighting the importance of collective efforts in ensuring and enhancing the quality assurance processes at the Faculty of Medicine.
This workshop served as a valuable platform for supportive staff to strengthen their understanding of quality assurance and contribute to maintaining the Faculty of Medicine’s commitment to excellence in education and research.
