The Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, successfully hosted a guest lecture on September 10, 2025, at the Hoover Auditorium, featuring two distinguished dermatologists from Harvard Medical School:

Prof. Hensin Tsao, MD, PhD – Professor of Dermatology, Director of the MGH Melanoma and Pigmented Lesion Center, and an internationally renowned expert in melanoma genetics and skin cancer research.

Prof. Sandy Tsao, MD – Assistant Professor of Dermatology, a leading authority in laser and cosmetic dermatology, acclaimed educator, and innovator in advanced skin health.
The lecture, titled “Dermatology, Research, and Finding Life Balance,” attracted a large audience of faculty members, clinicians, researchers, and medical students. Both speakers shared valuable insights from their professional journeys, highlighting advances in dermatology, the importance of research, and strategies for maintaining balance between professional and personal life.
The event was highly interactive, with participants engaging in discussions that enriched the academic atmosphere and fostered global collaboration.
