Professor S. Rajendra, Professor in Surgery and Consultant Surgeon, University Surgical Unit, Teaching Hospital Jaffna, delivered the prestigious Dr. Noel Bartholomeusz Memorial Oration at the College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka on 08th December 2025.
The event was held at The Noel & Nora Bartholomeusz Foundation, College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka, 6, Independence Avenue, Colombo 07, as part of the Fellowship Awards Ceremony 2025.
Professor Rajendra delivered his oration on the theme:
“The burden of silent flood leading towards unseen cost of cure.”
The ceremony included the ceremonial procession, lighting of the oil lamp, award of fellowships, and addresses by senior officials of the College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka. The event highlighted excellence in surgical education, leadership, and service to the nation.
