Vesak festival was organized by the 44th batch of Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna on the 14th of May from 6.00 pm onwards at the faculty premises in the name “Vaishakya Mangalyaya 23”.
The senior batches of 42nd, 43rd, and 44th joined hands with the juniors of the 45th batch to sing ‘Bhakti Geetha’ or religious songs and lightened up the day with the melodies of peace dedicated to Lord Buddha.
An ice cream dansal was organized in honor of this, which was joined by many fellowmen who came to share the joy and peace of the holy day of Vesak.
