HARDBALL CRICKET
It was held on 9th of September 2023 at 1.00 pm, conference hall of Faculty of Medicine on behalf of celebrating hardball cricket encounter among Northern Doctors Cricket Club (NDCC) and Jaffna Medical Faculty Cricket (JMFC) Team.
The event was begun with introduction speech which was delivered by Dr. B. Balagobi, Coordinator, Students’ Wellbeing Centre.
Prof. R. Surenthirakumaran, Dean, Faculty of Medicine delivered address. He mentioned that these sports will develop the Personal Professional Skills of Students and Dr. G. Sritharan, Captain from Northern Doctors Cricket Club and Ms. B. Jathuvini on behalf of Jaffna Medical Faculty Netball Team gave a small talk.
Prof. R. Surenthirakumaran, Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Dr. S. Kumaran, Coordinator, Personal Professional Development Stream, Faculty of Medicine, Dr. B. Balagobi, Coordinator, Students’ Wellbeing Centre and Dr. R. Niranjan, Student Counsellor, Faculty of Medicine handed over the Jerseys to Jaffna Medical Faculty Cricket Team.
Prof. R. Surenthirakumaran, Dr. B. Balagobi and captains from both Team revealed Cricket Trophy.
Finally the event came to end with vote of thanks delivered by Mr.T.Kaliyugan Captain from Jaffna Medical Faculty Cricket Team.
NET BALL
Netball Jersey handing over ceremony was held on 25th of August 2023 at 5.00 pm, Movie theater of Wellbeing Centre on behalf of celebrating netball encounter among Northern doctors and Students. Dr.P.A.D. Coonghe, Acting Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Dr.B.Balagobi, Coordinator, Students’ Wellbeing Centre and Mr.T.Mathumilan, President, Medical Students’ Union handed over the jersey to Jaffna Medical Faculty Netball Team.
Prof. R. Surenthirakumaran, and Dr. B. Balagobi, Dr. K. Uthayaseelan, Coordinator, Northern Doctors Netball Team and Ms. B. Jathuvini, on behalf of Jaffna Medical Faculty Netball Team revealed netball Trophy on the same day of Cricket trophy revealing ceremony.
