We regret to inform you of the sad demise of Prof. S.V. Parameswaran, former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Professor of Physiology, who passed away today, 11th of November 2023 in Colombo. Prof. S.V. Parameswaran was one of the founding members of the Faculty. He served as the Dean of the Faculty for three years from July 1994 to July 1997. Prof. Parameswaran’s enduring commitment continued until his retirement in 2007.
Today, we mourn the loss of a remarkable educator and leader.
The faculty extends our heartfelt sympathies to his family, friends, and all who were touched by his guidance.
