The inaugural CME event to promote interactive learning was organized by the professorial unit, Department of Medicine, on December 16, 2023. The event was the brainchild of Professor N. Suganthan and was well attended, with almost all medical officers attached to the unit being present.
The program was initiated with the Image Challenge by Professor T. Kumanan, titled `Our Own Stories`. Interestingly, all the images discussed were from the publications of trainee medical officers who were attached to the unit in the past. Following the well-received challenge was the presentation on gastroenterology by Dr. B. Karthiha in a quiz format. Getting the trainees and junior aspirants involved in the interaction and the quiz was indeed turned to be effective and fruitful.
This event is likely to become a calendar event in the professorial unit attachment and is expected to flourish at least for more than few times in a year.
