The Tamil, Sinhala New Year celebration was organized in the name of “Soorya Vizha” for the 1st time in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna by the student committee, which consists of 44th and 45th batches and the PSWG, headed by 43rd Batch.
The first of SooryaVizha as Yaal Vasathsara 2023 was held on 30/04/2023 from 1.00 pm at the university outdoor playground with the honorable participation of Prof. Vasanthy Arasaratnam; Former Vice Chancellor UOJ, Former Dean FOM|UOJ, Head of the Department of Biochemistry FOM|UOJ, Member of University Grant Commission Sri Lanka as chief guest and Dr. Dinesh Coonghe; Acting Dean FOM|UOJ, Head of the Department of Community and Family Medicine FOM|UOJ.
